Ancient Chamorro Food
o In the Chamorro language, there are different words related to rice
1. fa’i (rice growing in the field)
2. fama ayan (rice field)
3. timulo (harvested rice stalk piles)
4. cha’guan aga’ga (jungle rice)
5. tinitu (husked rice)
6. pugas (uncooked rice)
7. hineksa’ (boiled or cooked rice)
8. alaguan (rice soup or rice drink)
